Dar Kouba is a guest house built in a traditional Saharian style that has proven for centuries to be well adapted to the local climate. You will be welcomed there by an attentive but discreet service in a very quiet environment. Take the time to contemplate the great Erg from one of the terraces, or simply relax with a book by the pool. Free wifi is available in the premises.

We have organized for you a series of outdoor activities in the oasis and in the Grand Erg, as well as in the surroundings oasis of the Gourara. 

A central interest in Timimoun lies in the fact that the population of the oasis does maintain alive many traditions dating from centuries.  This is the case, among others, of the annual feast of Sbou', as well as of the periodic celebrations of local saints, and of course of the mystic songs of Ahellil which are unique to the Gourara and the area of Timimoun. Both celebrations, with the water irrigation through the system of foggaras, have been classified by UNESCO as  heritage belonging to Humanity.

We can organize for you a visit to the Timimoun palm grove and its irrigation system, or an excursion to the many surrounding spectacular places of the Gourara or in the Grand Erg. Timimoun is at the southern rim of the Grand Erg and its 300 kms of immaculaute sand dunes. As such it can be the ground of unique and memorable treks. 

You may also enjoy a bivouac in the desert, with a night under  the clear skies of a thousand-star hotel!
